I need to defend Lax1e because this ""warning"" doc is literally misrepresenting their DNI and taking "Russians DNI" completely out of context????? From what is in the doc I'll assume that Lax1e is from Ukraine. They said the war has been going on for 4 years, their country is being bombed, and they literally said "it's heavy" for them??? Their DNI is NOT "I hate all Russian people as an ethnicity" it's literally a trauma-based boundary to protect their mental health and avoid possibles triggers and that is literally what a DNI is for??? And your own screenshots disprove the xenophobia claim they DIDN'T cut you off for being half Russian. They said they were still willing to be friends as long as you weren't openly proud of the war or like what Russia is doing that proves it's not about your ethnicity but literally about political stance like they just worded it badly. What they meant is "pro-war" "war-supporters DNI" not "all Russian people are bad" Yes, "Russians DNI" as a wording can be hurtful for some Russians people who don't support the war, who wouldn't be frustrated being regrouped into the same category of bad people??? and Lax1e could reword it to "pro-war Russians / z-supporters DNI" to be clearer about their DNI list, but with the doc you're turning a badly worded trauma-based boundary from a Ukrainian person directly affected by the war into a ""warning doc"", its their boundaries and you're making it a huge overreaction btw, You're shaming someone's personal trauma response??? Hi, to Haru and everyone seeing this, this is public and I want this to be seen by everyone who has an opinion on me I wanna address your doc, I generally kind of expected something like that but straight to the point I'm not xenophobic, I'm just uncomfortable with any Russian thing because of this feeling that I'm talking to a person that is somehow connected to the war in some way or another. I really wish it wasn't that way because I knew and know some Russian people that I really valued, but stopped talking to. If this is gonna help understand this a little further I'll bring the closest example of how I feel. Say you know a person, no matter who they were or what they were like, hurt or harmed your parents/grandparents in some way. They have connections - children, friends, co-workers. You talked to one of them and found out about this, at least I, and honestly I assume a lot of people might stop talking to the person. Not because they're bad, they were probably a great person who you valued and cared for a lot, but the thought of who they associated with would horrify you and overshadow every good thing you had. I know it may look really odd and like I'm making excuses but I genuinely didn't want this to hurt you as long as it did end up, I had the very strong urge to keep being friends with you, I really did, but I knew I'd feel the guilt of breaking my own promise and fear of being a bad friend overshadowed. I've also had some bad experience with Russians being generally all over the place, I know this is more of me just placing a stereotype basically As well, or again, I'm very sorry you felt this way and I really REALLY wish you the genuine best and still do.
